User Acceptance Test Support Specialist - Position # UAT2012

General Accountability

The User Acceptance Test Support Specialist contributes to a high level of client satisfaction by ensuring the Customer Care and Billing applications run reliably, effectively and on schedule in their various test environments.  Responsibilities include analyzing and correcting operational problems, building effective test environments, documenting operational procedures, managing the source code for the test libraries, and reviewing, analyzing and communicating errors to the appropriate parties for remedial action. 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Customer Care and Billing jobs run effectively
  • Optimize/maintain the operations flow
  • Respond to and correct operational problems by identifying and correcting root causes
  • Establish multiple environments for new clients
  • Maintain and support source code movement from development to testing
  • Ensure compliance with relevant requirements of the Service Request Delivery process
  • Modify/maintain the environments as required
  • Build and maintain effective test environments
  • Assist Quality Assurance and client testers to conduct effective and comprehensive testing
  • Work with clients to resolve problems identified by the error reports where appropriate, and identify ways to automate/improve the process
  • Create and maintain internal and Customer facing test schedules
  • Adhere to all ENABIL Solutions Systems Management disciplines and standard internal procedures (e.g. change management, problem management, project management)

Skill, Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma, preferably in a technical IT discipline, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years IT and customer service experience
  • Experience with UNIX (Sun Solaris) operating system structure and performance considerations
  • Experience with UNIX languages (i.e. C, JAVA) and tools
  • Experience with UNIX Shell/Perl Scripting, UNIX System Administration
  • Knowledge of source management tools (i.e. CVS) is desirable
  • Knowledge of problem reporting tools (i. e. Jira) is desirable
  • Knowledge of a development methodology
  • Experience with providing testing and production support to end users
  • Experience in computer operations, including job scheduling (CA Workload Automation), and utilities
  • Industry expertise (i. e. Customer Care and Billing, Wireless Communications)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment of conflicting priorities, scope changes and to adjust priorities are required
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with limited supervision
