Senior OBRM Pipeline Developer/Analyst – Full Time

Main Responsibilities and Duties

Developer/Analyst will be required to perform some or all of the following duties:

• Analyze, design, develop and unit test billing software components.
• Write, modify, integrate and test billing system components.
• Maintain existing BRM implementations by making necessary modifications and enhancements.
• Identify and communicate technical problems, processes and solutions.
• Assist in the assurance of completeness of user requirements, design specifications.
• Develop logical and physical specifications for enhancements and critical fixes.
• Research and evaluate variety of software development approaches.
• Interact with vendors and partners in investigating and resolving software component issues.
• Interact with clients to help gather requirements for enhancements and to investigate/resolve production issues.
• Willing to travel and available 24/7 to support existing operations.
• Willing to work independently and as part of a larger team.
• Coach junior members of the team and be a good team player.
• Work closely with demanding clients and strive to meet/exceed the SLAs.

Skill Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component.
• Completion of a Technical College program in computer science with certificate.
• 8+ years of overall industry experience and 5+ years of OBRM (ver. 6.7 to 7.4) pipeline development experience.
• Extensive experience working with BRM pricing, discounting, rating modules.
• Extensive experience implementing various standard and custom mediation pipelines from scratch including rating, re-rating and backout pipelines.
• Experience tuning rating pipelines for optimal performance and throughput.
• In depth knowledge of iScript development and crafting complex iRules.
• Experience implementing and supporting ERA based discounts, discount product based pipeline discounting and various rating and discounting methods including shared, event based, aggregated, billing time, snow-ball and query based.
• Experience handling out-collects processing.
• Experience setting up mediation pipelines for various types of input data including custom and standard input formats including MTX, TAP, CIBER, XML and etc.
• Completion of study courses (and development experience with) related to relational databases / SQL programming and one or a combination of: C and C++ Programming, Unix Shell Scripting and Perl/Ruby/PHP Scripting.
• Training on and/or experience with Oracle and MySQL.
• Training on and/or experience with UNIX based operating systems including Solaris, HP-UX, AIX Linux operating systems.
• Training on and/or experience with Oracle EBS, Siebel CRM or PeopleSoft is an asset.
• In depth knowledge of wireless/wireline/IP industry segments.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to be on after hours pager support rotation.
